Guests consistently praise St Michael's Manor Hotel for its beautiful, well-maintained grounds featuring a lovely lake, perfect for photos and exploring. The spacious rooms, some with views overlooking the gardens, often include comfortable armchairs and desks, along with plentiful coffee and tea. The breakfast is a highlight, offering a wide range of delicious foods; however, a few guests have experienced issues with noise from external sources or dated attic rooms.
the garden room, hawthorne, featured beautiful decor and overlooked the picturesque gardens. i particularly loved the hidden bathroom inside the wardrobe. It was a unique touch. i barely noticed an event the first night because the room had excellent soundproofing.
The breakfast experience felt a bit rushed one morning, as i was told the kitchen was closing soon after my arrival. I wish i'd known.

overpriced drinksunfriendly service
The pricing for spirits CAUGHT me off guard. Some were even MORE expensive than cocktails. This seemed unreasonable, especially given the quality of the drinks. the service lacked warmth, which diminished the overall experience. The setting was pleasant, but overpriced drinks combined with less than friendly service created an unsatisfactory visit.

Acceptable, but some issues
friendly staffloud generator
The reception staff were very friendly and efficient.
I was given a room. The room had generators right outside my window which were very loud and bothersome. I chose the hotel based on the location for peace and quiet with lovely surroundings, but I found neither.

The receptionist was unhelpful. she only provided a rate when we pretended to stay that night!
